Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu today spoke to NCP chief Sharad Pawar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of Presidential election. During their conversation, the TDP Chief told the Union Minister that his party will stand by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision in this regard. Mr Pawar said that he would be in Delhi for the next couple of days for further talks. <br/><br/>Sources said, so far, six parties, namely Congress, BSP, NCP, TDP, CPIM and AINC(NR) have been contacted by the Minister. Formal consultations will begin tomorrow with separate meetings with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and CPIM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury. Meetings with leaders of other political parties are also being planned.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, on the second day of nomination for presidential elections, one more candidate has filed his papers today. With this the number of candidates who have filed nominations so far has gone upto to seven. However, the nominations from main political parties are yet to come. The last date of nomination is 28th of this month.
