Addressing an election rally yesterday, Premadasa said these channels publicized malicious reports indicating he agreed to 13 conditions put forward by Tamil political parties.
''
''He asserted Sajith Premadasa is not someone who bows down to conditions. Mr. Premadasa also promised for a major international donor conference for development of war-affected north and east provinces. Meanwhile, Tamil National alliance (TNA) has said that their support to Premadasa was based on who should be defeated and should not win. Premadasa main rival Gotabaya Rajpaksa is former defence secretary who was instrumental in ending LTTE war during regime of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
''
''Mr. Gotabaya side has claimed that support for Premadasa means that the latter has accepted the 13 demands put by Tamil parties which included merger of north and east as well as a new constitution with federal status.
