The BJP on Monday said, the Presidential Address to the Joint Sitting of both the Houses of Parliament, completely lacked vision. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Party Spokesman, S S Ahluwalia said, the address gives no indication as to how to deal with the problems and challenges facing the nation and the possible roadmap that the government intends to follow in response thereto. He said the address does not refer to what the government intends to do with the issues of corruption and the amendments proposed by the Opposition to the Lokpal and Lokayukta Bill. He said it also does not indicate steps that the government intends to take in order to revive both the economy and the economic sentiment.
Referring to the proposal for setting up of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Mr Ahluwalia alleged that the states are losing confidence in the government because of what he called, the anti-federal attitude of the Centre.
