President, Vice President and Prime Minister have greeted the nation on Dussehra. Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil said that the festival is victory of Good over Evil and it should motivate the people to work whole-heartedly for the betterment of the nation.

Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari hoped the festival will inspire the people to work for peace and prosperity of the country. Dr. Manmohan Singh said, the festivals are an inspiration for a life of righteous action. He expressed the hope that Durga Puja and Dussehra would usher in peace, prosperity and happiness for all.
