President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu have greeted the people on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi. <br/><br/>In his message, the President has expressed hope that the celebrations of the birth of Lord Ganesha will remove all obstacles in India's path of progress and bless people with joy, prosperity and peace.<br/><br/> He said the great freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak championed the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi to garner support for country's freedom movement. <br/><br/>Mr. Kovind asked the people to recall this inclusive vision and re-dedicate themselves to build a strong and caring India where peace and prosperity prevail.<br/><br/>In his message, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu said that Lord Ganesh is revered as an embodiment of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune in the country. He said invoking the auspicious name of Lord Ganesh before the start of any good work and project is a common practice. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu expressed hope that this festival will bring peace, prosperity and harmony in the country.
