President and Vice President have greeted the people on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.<br/><br/>In his message, President Pranab Mukherjee said that Bhagwan Mahavira's philosophy of Ahimsa, truth, compassion and non-violence are of increasing relevance in today's world. <br/><br/>He appealed to the people to imbibe his teaching of right faith, knowledge and conduct and unite and build a society free from violence, terrorism and exploitation.<br/><br/>In his message, Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari said that through his teachings of non-violence and compassion, Bhagwan Mahavir showed an enlightened path for harmony and progress of humanity.<br/>
