West Bengal Government will accord a civic reception to the President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee in Kolkata today. Mr. Mukherjee is arriving on a four day visit to his own home state West Bengal this afternoon after assuming the top post. Our Kolkata correspondent reports that from a guard of honour at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport to a grand public reception at the Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata the West Bengal Government headed by the Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee is going all out to make Mr. Pranab Mukherjee's maiden visit to Kolkata as first elected Bengal President a memorable one. During his stay in the city the President will attend the culmination of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations and annual convocation of the Kharagpur IIT tomorrow.Mr. Mukherjee will visit the Netaji Research Bureau in Kolkata followed by a felicitation to him by different chambers of Commerce in the tomorrow evening. On Sunday, the President will inaugurate a private hospital in Howrah district.
