President, Vice President and Prime Minister have condoled the death of Dr. Syed Ahmed, Governor of Manipur. President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Dr Syed Ahmed. Vice President Mohd.Hamid Ansari recalled Syed Ahmed's long and distinguished public service saying he was a leading figure of Maharashtra's political firmament and his departure leaves a large void. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he is saddened by the demise of Manipur Governor.He said, Syed Ahmed was an experienced leader who held many positions in his long political career.<br/><br/>Congress President Sonia Gandhi has also condoled the passing away of Dr Syed Ahmed. Recalling his long innings in public life, Mrs Gandhi said, he will be missed by the people for a long time to come.
