President and Vice President have greeted the people on the eve of auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. In a message, President Ram Nath Kovind said, this unique festival celebrates the sacred bond of commitment between sisters and brothers.<br/><br/>He said, the festival symbolises the virtues of love, affection and mutual trust, brings happiness and prosperity to all the people of the country. Mr Kovind said, the day is an occasion for the countrymen to renew the spirit of fraternity among them.<br/><br/>In his message, Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari said, the festival reaffirms the strong bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters and upholds the high place traditionally accorded to women in the society.<br/>
