Eid ul Zuha is being celebrated today. The President, the Vice president and the Prime minister have greeted the people on the occasion. In her message, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil hoped that the festival will strengthen the unity and harmony in the country. Vice President Mohd Hamid Ansari said that this festival reaffirms the truth that from man’s complete willingness to sacrifice springs divine grace and compassion. Conveying his best wishes from Port of Spain, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said, the festival is a celebration of the spirit of sacrifice and brotherhood. He expressed the hope that this spirit of selfless giving symbolised by Eid ul Zuha unites all Indians.
