President Pranab Mukherjee will pay a two-day visit to West Bengal beginning today. Mr Mukherjee will inaugurate the new building of Vidyanagar College in South 24 Parganas tomorrow. He will also inaugurate the 200th birth anniversary celebration of Bengali poet and Sanskrit scholar Pandit Madan Mohan Tarkalankar at Bilwagram in Nadia. Pandit Tarkalankar had developed Bengali text-books for children and added a new dimension to modern Bengali literature along with Akshay Kumar Datta and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar.
