President Pranab Mukherjee will offer prayers at the ancient hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh today. Before visiting the shrine, Mr. Mukherjee would inaugurate Veda Pathshala (Vedic School) built at a cost of Rs 25 crore by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at Ai Bhimavaram in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. <br/><br/>The President will address a public meeting after inaugurating the school. Mr. Mukherjee would arrive in Tirupati in the afternoon by an IAF aircraft for offering prayers at the shrine as part of his southern sojourn. Security has been beefed up in both Bhimavaram and Tirupati. The Special Protection Group and other special security personnel have already reached Ai Bhimavaram town yesterday.
