President Pranab Mukherjee will address the first ever Visitors Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. It will be interactive session between Industry and Academia and exchange of 44 MOUs and lectures by eminent persons. An official release said, the agenda for the three day Conference includes improving the quality of higher education, capacity development of faculty and promotion of gender equity and cultural inclusion through higher education. It said, lectures will be delivered by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Bharat Ratna Prof. C N R Rao and Agriculture scientist M S Swaminathan. <br/><br/>The President had convened annual conferences of Central Universities, NITs, IITs, and other institutions in the past three years. These have been merged into a single Visitor's Conference this year to create synergy amongst all central institutions of higher learning.
