The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil will give away the Indira Gandhi Maulik Pustak Lekhan Puraskar, and the Rajeev Gandhi Gyan-Vigyan Maulik Pustak-Lekhan Puraskar in New Delhi on Wednesday on the occasion of Hindi Diwas. These awards are given for excellence in the field of implementation of Official Language Policy, original Hindi Book-Writing and Hindi book-writing on subjects of Science and Technology.

This year, a new sub-category of Scientific and Technical Ministries has been added to promote the use of Hindi language in the field of Science and Technology. Our correspondent reports that a total of 52 awards will be presented under various categories.
