President Pratibha Patil will be arriving in Hyderabad in a short while from now on a two-day visit. Governor E.S.L. Narsimhan, Chief Minister K Rosaiah, several state Ministers and senior officials are present at the Begumpet Airport to receive the president. <br/><br/>Tight security arrangements have been made as she will be staying at Rajbhavan during her stay in Hyderabad and expected to attend the dinner being hosted by Chief Minister Rosaiah tonight. The President will be inaugurating the celebrations to mark 500th anniversary of the coronation of Srikrishna Devaraya tomorrow in Hyderabad.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh is all set to celebrate the 500th year of coronation of Srikrishna Devaraya who has a distinctive mark on the literary and cultural heritage of Teluigu Speaking people. <br/><br/>Various events depicting the cultural and literary grandeur of his era are being held for three days in the state capital to begin the month-long celebrations. <br/><br/>On the occasion, the President will be unveiling a statue of Srikrishna Devaraya and flag off a Chariot which will tour the districts during the month-long celebrations. <br/><br/>Archaeological exhibitions displaying valuable inscriptions, coins, artefacts of Devaraya’s era and literary discourses with eminent writers and poets and Cultural performances are being held for three days on this occasion. <br/><br/>In his 21-year glorious rule, Krishna Devaraya left behind a rich legacy of artefacts, treasury troves, temples, palaces, exquisite monuments and a concept of welfare governance which continue to inspire the present day rulers.
