The President Mrs Pratibha Patil today stressed the need for a collective and firm commitment of the international community to fight terrorism. While accepting the credentials of seven new ambassadors, she said the prospects for peace in the contemporary world were threatened by forces of extremism and terrorism.<br/><br/>The envoys who presented their credentials were from El Salvador, the Philippines, Laos, Doulat O. Kuanyshev of Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Monaco and Guatemala.<br/>
