President Droupadi Murmu has said that it is important to have the best quality telecom and internet services in order to achieve the status of a developed country. She said this while addressing a group of Officers and Officer Trainees of Indian Defence Estates Service, Indian Skill Development Service, Indian Trade Service and Indian Telecom Service at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday. Ms. Murmu said, it is the responsibility of Indian Telecom Service officers to keep abreast with new technological advancements as the country shifts towards 5G mobile telephony.<br />'' <br />''Addressing the Indian Skill Development Service officers, the President said, to benefit from the country's demographic dividend, its huge human resources need to be adequately skilled. As India aims to become a five trillion dollar economy, President Murmu said, Indian Trade Service Officers have a significant role to play. She also highlighted some technical advancements used by the Directorate General of Defence Estates and urged the officers to utilize technology for effective administration of the cantonments.
