President receives rare Gandhi relics from overseas Indians

The President, Mrs. Pratibhadevi Patil received some rare letters and things related to Mahamata Gandhi from two overseas Indians at London. Sir Ghulam Noon and Mr. Nathuram Puri handed over these things to the President which they procured in an auction at a function in Indian High Commission. Mrs. Patil said that philosophy of non-violence and Satyagrah inspired millions across the world . She said that Gandhiji has a special place in our heart and articles associated with him have special meaning for every Indian. She said that Gandhiji's ideology can be a very powerful instrument for building a peaceful and tolerant world. Earlier, the President visited natural history museum and interacted scientists at work.
