President Ramnath Kovind inaugurates two-day conference on National Law Day

President Ramnath Kovind today inaugurated a two-day conference on National Law Day in New Delhi to celebrate the adoption of Constitution. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the valedictory session of the conference tomorrow. <br/> <br/>The conference will have four sessions to discuss Judicial Review and Parliamentary Democracy- Balancing the separation of powers, appointments to higher judiciary – constraints of collegium system and reforms ahead, structural reforms for overcoming delays in justice delivery and scope of judicial power-judicial activism. <br/><br/>An informal report will be prepared on the outcome of the discussion. <br/><br/>The National Law Day is being observed jointly by the NITI Aayog and Law Commission of India. The Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949.
