President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Turkmenistan, Netherlands from April 1

<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a week-long State visit to Turkmenistan and the Netherlands from Friday. Briefing media in New Delhi, Secretary (West) in Ministry of External Affairs Sanjay Verma said, this will be the first-ever visit of the President to Turkmenistan.<br />'' <br />''He said, the visit also comes just after the inauguration of the new President of Turkmenistan. Mr Verma said, during the visit, Mr Kovind will meet the new President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to discuss various issues of bilateral and regional cooperation.<br />''<br />''Mr Verma said, the visit to Turkmenistan will be followed by a State Visit of the President to the Netherlands. He said, the visit is significant as during 2022, India and the Netherlands are celebrating 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.<br />''<br />''The Secretary said, during the visit, the President will hold discussions with King Willem – Alexander and Queen Maxima and also Prime Minister Mark Rutte.<br />''<br />''Mr Verma said, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan and Lok Sabha MP Dilip Ghosh are part of the delegtion.     </span><br />

President Ram Nath Kovind to visit Turkmenistan, Netherlands from April 1

<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan from 1st to 4th of next month at the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan. The visit to Turkmenistan will be followed by a state visit of President to the Kingdom of Netherlands from 4th to 7th of next month at the invitation of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima.<br />''<br />''This will be the first-ever visit of the President to independent Turkmenistan.<br />''During the visit, the President will meet the new President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Both the countries will discuss various issues of bilateral and regional cooperation including implementation of the outcomes of the India-Central Asia Summit held in January this year. Some agreements and MoUs are also expected to be signed during the visit.<br />''<br />''During the visit to the Netherlands, the President will held discussions with Royal Majesties and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. The upcoming visit of President to Netherlands is significant as both the countries are celebrating 75 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Last year, during the virtual summit held between the Prime Ministers of the two countries, a strategic partnership on water was launched to enhance the level of engagement. <br />''<br />''Cooperation in sectors such as agriculture, health, urban development, science and technology are other important pillars of the bilateral relationship. The Netherlands is also an important economic and commercial partner of India with the country being India's fourth largest Foreign Direct Investment's source. It also hosts the largest Indian diaspora in continental Europe.</span><br />
