President Ram Nath Kovind dedicated ISKCON Sri Rajadhiraja Govinda Temple built on Vaikunta hills in Bengaluru today. The temple and its main deity are replicas of Tirumala Tirupathi Temple of Lord Venkateshwara in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking after the Lokarpan ceremony, the President appreciated the divine ambience of the temple and its architecture. Saying that temples are important symbols of Hinduism, Mr Kovind said that they are sacred sites with the presence of the divine in the form of vibrations, energy and devotional presence. He said that the temples are much more than places of worship. They are the Sangam or holy confluence of art, architecture, tradition and knowledge.<br />''<br />''While dwelling upon the different paths to the supreme divine &nbsp;shown through Karma, Gnana and Bhakti marga by Spiritual leaders like Shankaracharya, Madhwacharya, Ramanujacharya, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Chaitanya, the President said that all their path are interlinked by their common faith in the divine. Appreciating the role of ISKCON for their role in spreading the preachings of Lord Krishna through his discourse with Arjuna, Mr Kovind also acknowledged their humanitarian interventions through Akshayapatra foundation. The foundation serves free mid day meals to 18 lakh children across the country and during the pandemic had supplied 25 crore food packets to the destitutes.
