The Winter Session of the Lok Sabha was prorogued yesterday. An official statement said, President Pranab Mukherjee prorogued it on the recommendation of Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs. It said, Lok Sabha which commenced its sixth Session on the 26th November 2015 has been prorogued by the President on the January 6th 2016.<br/><br/>The stormy Winter session of Parliament had ended on the 23rd of last month, leaving the crucial economic reform bill Goods and Services Tax, GST pending amid persistent protests by Congress over a host of issues.
