President Pranab Mukherjee has prorogued both Houses of Parliament. It was announced today by the Secretariats of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha.Yesterday, the Cabinet Committee of Parliamentary Affairs had recommended for prorogation of both Houses of Parliament after there were adjourned sine die. <br/><br/>The Budget session, which began on 31st of January, was successful with as many as 18 Bills including those on the GST passed by the two Houses.<br/><br/>Besides this, the entire financial business of the government, was completed before 31st of March. The productivity of the Lok Sabha during the Budget Session was 114 per cent while that of the Rajya Sabha was 92 per cent.
