President presses for collective efforts against terrorism

India has pitched for continuing collective efforts against the forces of extremism, terrorism and intolerance which attempt to weaken the social fabric. <br/><br/>President Pranab Mukherjee said this in his speech at the banquet hosted in honour of visiting Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday.<br/><br/>He said, it is in the shared interest of both India and United Arab Emirates to work for peace and stability in West Asia as well as South Asia. He said, the State visit of Crown Prince is a reflection of the warm relations and deep co-operation between the two countries. <br/><br/>The President said, UAE is amongst India's largest trade partners and during 2015-16, the bilateral trade stood at 49.7 billion dollars. He said, both India and UAE have agreed to increase the bilateral trade by 60 per cent in 2020. <br/><br/>The President reiterated India's invitation to the UAE business houses to participate in Make in India, Digital India and Smart Cities programmes. He said, India looks forward to a robust partnership with UAE in its National Infrastructure Investment Fund.
