<span style="color: #222222;">President Ram Nath Kovind presented Standards to 118 Helicopter Unit and Colours to Air Defence College in Guwahati on Thursday. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kovind said, India is today seen as an eminent power, expected to play a prominent role in shaping the global paradigm with regards to international security, trade and commerce, and environmental protection. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, India's rise in the international order draws heavily from the capabilities and valour of our Armed Forces, including our air warriors. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa were present during the programme. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Later, addressing media persons, Mr Dhanoa spoke about the Indian Air Force's modernisation plans. He also lauded the performances of the 118 Helicopter unit and Air defence college. </span><br />
