President presents Colours to T-90 armoured regiments

The Supreme Commander of the Indian Armed Forces, President Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil today presented presidential order to the five T-90 armoured regiments of the Army at the Babina military station near Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. Following the presentation of the colours, the President exhorted the servicemen to remain ready to deal with any challenge. She said that their services to the nation have been laudable and they have always risen to the occasion in safeguarding nation's interest. It was a rare honor given to these armoured regiments for the first time. The five units under the 'White Tiger' armoured division who received the honour are 83, 12, 13, 15 and 19 Armoured Regiments. They received their colours in a magnificent and colourful ceremony in the presence of Army chief General V.K. Singh and a host of other senior military officials.
