President Pranab Mukherjee reaches Papua New Guinea on first leg of two-nation tour

President Pranab Mukherjee reached Papua New Guinea capital, Port Moresby this morning on the first leg of his two-nation tour. <br/><br/>He was accorded a ceremonial reception upon arrival. Mr Mukherjee will lay wreath at the Bomana war cemetery later today and hold talks with the country's top leadership. <br/><br/>Co-operation in the fields of healthcare and medical science, establishment of tele-medicine centres and supply of HIV-AIDS medicines is likely to come up during the discussion between the two countries.<br/><br/>A proposal to set up an ICT training school of excellence in Papua New Guinea with Indian assistance may also figure in talks. <br/><br/>The talks may include construction and development of key infrastructure projects proposed to be built with Indian Assistance. The President will be going to New Zealand on Saturday on the final leg of his two-nation visit.
