President Pranab Mukherjee today presented Gallantry Awards and Distinguished Service Decorations at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The awards include One Kirti Chakra, thirteen Shaurya Chakra, fifteen Param Vishist Seva Medal, one Bar to the Ati Vishist Seva Medal, two Uttam Yuddh Seva Medal and twenty seven Ati Vishisht Seva Medal.<br/><br/>Lance Havldar Prem Bahdur Resmi Magar was posthumously conferred on Kirti Chakra for putting up a valiant fight against four terrorists who had attacked at Tangdhar sector at Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir last year. <br/><br/>Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable Sanjewan Singh, Naib Subedar Kankara V Subba Readdy and Naik Gawade Pandurang Mahadev of Rashtriya Rifles, Lt Col. Niranjan EK of NSG, who made supreme sacrifice during terror attack at Jammu and Kashmir was awarded Shaurya Chakra posthumously.
