President Pranab Mukherjee has accepted the resignation of Mr M Venkaiah Naidu from the Council of Ministers with immediate effect. <br/><br/>President also directed that Cabinet Minister Narendra Singh Tomar shall be assigned the additional charge of the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. He also directed that Textiles Minister Smriti Irani, shall be assigned the additional charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
