The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil has described as a personal loss the death of Rajasthan Governor Prabha Rau. <br/><br/>The President visited Jodhpur House to place a wreath on the body of 75-year-old Rau. Mrs. Patil told reporters that Rau was her close associate and in her demise the nation has lost a person who loved the people. <br/><br/>Mrs. Patil and Mrs. Rau had been colleagues in the Maharashtra government decades back. The Prime Minister condoled the passing away of Mrs. Prabha Rau. <br/><br/>Dr. Manmohan Singh in his message described her as an outstanding public figure and an ideal constitutional functionary. <br/><br/>Mrs. Rau who took over as Rajasthan Governor in January this year passed away in New Delhi today following a heart attack. She will be cremated at her native Kolhapur village in Maharashtra's Wardha district tomorrow with full state honours.
