President Pranab Mukherjee has strongly condemned the attack on CRPF personnel in Chattisgarh. In a tweet, Mr Mukherjee convened his condolences to the families of deceased and prayed for quick recovery of the injured.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the Sukma Maoists attack on CRPF personnel as cowardly and deplorable. <br/><br/>Mr. Modi said the Centre is monitoring the situation closely and the sacrifice of the martyrs will not go in vain. In a series of tweets, he expressed condolences to the CRPF families saying the country is proud of their valour. He also wished for early recovery for those injured in the attack.
