President Pranab Mukherjee today paid homage to Martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti in New Delhi on the occasion of 70th Independence Day. President Mukherjee placed a wreath at the base of the memorial dedicated to the Unknown Soldier and saluted the martyrs.<br/><br/>Army Chief General Dalbir Singh, Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba and Air Force Chief Air Marshal Arup Raha saluted the Martyrs with the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Minister of State for Defence Subhash Bhamre, Defence Secretary G Mohan Kumar were present on the occasion.
