The President Ms.Pratibha Devi Singh Patil today presided over the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Punjab Public School, Nabha in Distt. Patiala, Punjab. <br/><br/>In her address, she said every generation looks to its youth with expectation and hope. <br/><br/>Mrs. Patil said, there is no doubt that education is the most potent instrument for empowering the population and right to education is a priority sector for any nation. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that the President congratulated the School Management for contributing in overall development of its students. <br/><br/>Describing India as a young nation, the President called on the youth to contribute to make India a progressive nation through talent and knowledge. <br/><br/>India needs educated citizens who have in them ability to innovate and invent. <br/><br/>She said the students must prepare for their role in building a strong nation. <br/><br/>The President also presented Roll-of-Honour Award to an alumini of the school, Lt. Gen. Bikram Singh, GOC-in-C, Eastern Command, for excelling in the chosen field of profession. <br/>
