President Pranab Mukherjee visited Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu today. He offered special prayers in the famous Kamakshi Amman Temple in the historic temple town near Chennai in the afternoon. <br/><br/>Later, he visited the seers of the Kanchi Mutt Sree Jayendra Saraswati and Sree Vijayendra Saraswati before winding up his one-day visit to the state. Earlier, on his arrival at the INS Rajali airstrip, Arakkonam in Vellore district in his special aircraft, he was received by the state minister KC Veeramani and senior officials.<br/><br/>On his return from the naval airbase, he was given a warm send off by the minister and officials. <br/>
