President of Israel arriving in Mumbai on 8-day visit to India

President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin is arriving in Mumbai today on an eight-day visit to India. President Rivlin will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising officials, academicians and business leaders. He will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow. The visiting leader will also meet President Pranab Mukherjee, on whose invitation he is visiting the country. Vice President Hamid Ansari and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will call on President Rivlin.<br/><br/>During the visit, Mr Rivlin is also expected to meet business leaders. He will also visit Centre of Excellence in Agriculture in Karnal and participate in Agro Tech-2016. He will also visit the Taj Mahal during his stay. AIR correspondent reports India and Israel have excellent relations marked by strong ties in the areas of economy and commerce, science and technology, research and innovation, culture, tourism, and education.
