Egypt President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will hold bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today with an aim to step up engagement in areas of security, counter-terrorism and trade. Both sides are set to sign a number of MoUs thereafter. Mr. Sisi is on a three day visit to India. President Pranab Mukherjee will host a Banquet in this evening in the honour of Mr Sisi.<br/><br/>External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj met the visiting President in New Delhi, yesterday. Mrs. Swaraj reportedly highlighted India-Egypt trade in the meeting, which she said is still below the potential. Mrs. Swaraj outlined some economic reforms and flagship initiatives launched by India which offer enormous potential for further diversification of trade and investment ties with Egypt. <br/><br/>Showing gratitude, Mr. Sisi said, both the countries share centuries old ties which remain resilient even today.
