President Mukherjee urges students to attain education along with tolerance, determination and honesty

<br/><br/><br/>President Pranab Mukherjee today urged the students to uplift, upgrade and maintain the values of our civilization through the attainment of education. <br/><br/>Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Exhibition Hall and 100th Year celebration of Jhalda Satyabhama Vidyapith in Purulia district of West Bengal, Mr Mukherjee appreciated the effort by the school to set-up a museum on the freedom struggle on the occasion of its centenary and said people of the country protested against the British rule as and when they found an opportunity. <br/> <br/>In this context the President paid homage to the five young men of this area who being inspired by a revolutionary, Satya Kinkar Dutta, laid down their lives in the freedom struggle. <br/><br/>Mr Mukherjee also mentioned the Chuar Uprising which was a glorious chapter of early struggles in the freedom movement and reminded all that this area was the epi-centre of the Chuar Uprising.<br/><br/>Coming back to the importance of education, the President said acquiring information is not all, the objective should be of becoming a real man.<br/><br/>Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he said the aim of education is to become a real man and we should always strive for it. <br/><br/>The Governor of West Bengal Keshari Nath Tripathi, the Headmaster of the school and MLA of Baghmundi Nepal Mahato were also present on this occasion.<br/>''''<br/><br/>
