President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled passing away of former Chief Justice of India Altamas Kabir. Mr Mukherjee said he shall be emembered particularly for his initiatives with regard to legal reforms. The President said in his passing away, the nation has lost a distinguished public figure. <br/><br/>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu and Congress President Sonia Gandhi have also condoled the demise of Altamas Kabir.
