President Mukherjee asks Indian diaspora to contribute in economic transformation of India

President Pranab Mukherjee has called upon the Indian diaspora to contribute in economic transformation of the country . Addressing the Indian community in China's Guangzhou this evening, Mr.Mukherjee said the present NDA government has launched several initiative including Make in India, Digital India and clean India to transform the country. <br/><br/>He said cooperation between two giant nations of India and china can best guarantee peace and global prosperity. Amidst the thundering applause of oversea Indians who had came from far and wide including Hong Kong , and Beijing, Mr. Mukherjee complimented them for their contribution in IT, Chemical and service sectors. <br/><br/>He recalled India's contribution in making Beijing a part of global multilateral trade body WTO, arguing you cannot have an International body which excludes the largest no of people.<br/><br/>President Mukherjee who is on a four day visit to China, arrived at Guangzhou today. He was received by the Vice- Governor of the Province He Zhongyou at the airport. Mr Mukherjee will reach Beijing tomorrow where he will hold talks with the top leaders of the country on host of issues.<br/><br/>The President is expected to exchange views on all aspects of India's ties with Chinese leadership. He is likely to raise the issue of China blocking India's bid to get a UN ban on Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar and its insistence on India signing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to get membership of the elite Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). Mr. Mukherjee will also discuss the issue of terrorism with the Chinese leadership.
