President Pranab Mukherjee today laid the foundation stone of Rabindra Bhavan and Haj House at Jaipal Singh stadium complex in Ranchi. The President said, the Rabindra Bhawan will establish its identity as a unique centre for promotion of art and culture in Ranchi. Mr Mukherjee said, Noble laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore had special attachment with Jharkhand.<br/><br/>Laying the foundation stone of the Haj House, the President said, Haj pilgrimage is a lifetime dream of every Muslim and Haj House at Ranchi will facilitate the journey for people of the state. Mr Mukherjee said, till date, there was no proper arrangement available for Haj pilgrims from Jharkhand. He said, the state government, after realising this, has decided to construct a unique and very beautiful Haj House while keeping religious traditions and customs of Muslim brethren in mind. He said, Haj pilgrims from India outnumbered those from Pakistan and Bangladesh. <br/><br/>Later in the day, Mr Mukherjee will inaugurate 44-km long Deoghar-Baskinath Solar energy street light project in Deoghar. He will also inaugurate an exhibition and 35 centers under Prime Minister Skill Development programme in the city. The President will also lay the foundation stone of software technology parks of India (STPI) centre, employees state insurance corporation hospital and drivers training centre in Deoghar. Mr Mukherjee reached Ranchi yesterday evening on a two day visit to Jharkhand.
