President Kovind to meet Indian Community members in Cotonou

President Ram Nath Kovind will today meet members of the Indian Community at a reception hosted in his honour in Cotonou on the last day of his visit to Benin.<br />'' <br />'' Later he will leave for Gambia on the second leg of his three Nation's tour. Secretary, Indian economic relation T.S. Tirumurty has said that president Benin visit will give a new momentum to India – Benin bilateral relations.<br />'' <br />'' In a Media Briefing, He said The President was happy to note that India has emerged as the largest trading partner of Benin with two-way trade crossing USD 800 million.<br />'' <br />'' During his visit to Benin President Ramnath Kovind held talks with his Beninese counterpart. Both are witnessed the signing and exchange of bilateral Agreements.<br />'' <br />'' India offered a USD 100 million line of credit to Benin for its development projects. Both Country signed four MOUs for cultural exchange, cooperation in export credit and investment insurance, e- VBAB network project and visa exemption for Indian diplomatic and official passports.<br />'' <br />'' President also addressed the National Assembly of Benin in Porto Novo.<br />''  <br />
