President Ramnath Kovind will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from today. He will visit the Sabarmati Gandhi Ashram shortly after his arrival at Ahmedabad Air Port at 2.30 pm. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will accompany him during the visit Sabarmati Ashram visit. <br/><br/>Apart from getting information of various activities carried out at Sabarmati Ashram, President will also plant tree in Ashram campus. After the visit of Sabarmati Ashram visit, President Mr. Kovind will leave for Mehsana, where he will attend a programme at Simandhar Swami Jain Temple on the occasion of Guru Ashish Mahaparv. <br/><br/>According to official release, Gujarat Governor O.P. Kohli, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will accompany him. President Mr. Kovind will visit Jasdan in Rajkot district tomorrow, where he will address a gathering after attending the foundation stone-laying ceremony for Link-4 of the ambitious SAUNI irrigation project. <br/><br/>He will also visit Ghela Somnath- ancient Shiv Temple near Jasdan before his departure. AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that this will be the first of President Mr.Kovind to Gujarat after he takes over.
