President Kovind on a state visit to two Caribbean nations

President Ram Nath Kovind is on a state visit to two Caribbean nations. During the first leg of the visit to Jamaica, President Kovind started the second day engagements by visiting the Heroes' Garden at Kingston, After laying wreath at the Shrine of Marcus Garvey, Mr. Kovind proceeded to King's House where he met his counterpart Governor General of Jamaica Sir Patrick Allen.<br />''<br />''Following the meeting, the President has proceeded to meet the Prime Minister Andrew Holness.<br />''<br />''The President, who is on a historic visit to the Caribbean island nation of Jamaica will also inaugurate a street named after Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and a garden dedicated to India-Jamaica friendship. The visit of President Kovind assumes significance as the Indian diaspora now constitutes three per cent of Jamaica's population. <br />''<br />''The engagements on second day will sum up with a community reception hosted by Indian diaspora to the first-ever Head of the State, who visits the gorgeous Jamaica, a land of lush topography filled with mountains, rain forests and reef-lined beaches.<br />''<br />
