President Ramnath Kovind has called upon the countrymen to be alert for their responsibilities towards the nation. Addressing a public reception program organised for him this evening at Lucknow he said each and every citizen has his role in the nation building.<br/><br/>He said that being committed for the nation one can save himself from human weaknesses. Underlining the rich traditions of Uttar Pradesh be it education, religion, politics, handicrafts or Agriculture Mr Kovind said that lot of opportunities are available for youths in the state.<br/><br/>He asked the youths to explore the available opportunities. Remembering former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee he said national interests have been on top priority and political leaders inspite of having political differences did not ignore the national interests.<br/><br/>In the beginning of his speech President expressed his grief and sorrow over boat tragedy at Baghpat claiming 22 lives.<br/><br/>Earlier welcoming the President Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath said that achievements and struggle of Mr Kovind will always be inspiring and path showing for generations. Governor Ram Naik also addressed the gathering and honoured Mr Kovind offering Shawl.<br/><br/>UP CM Mr Yogi presented him idol of Lord Budha. Mr Kovind will go to Kanpur tomorrow to attend a program related to Swachchhata mission.
