President Kovind appreciates commitement of Telugu speaking people over their mother tongue

President Ram Nath Kovind has appreciated the commitment that the Telugu speaking people across the world have towards their mother tongue and enriching their language. <br/><br/>The president who is on a two day visit to Hyderabad has taken part in the closing ceremony of the World Telugu Conference held in Hyderabad this evening. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kovind recalled the contributions made by eminent Telugu people, from different walks of life, to Indian literature, economy and polity besides development of Telugu Language. <br/><br/>He described Telugu language, as a bridge between north and southern parts of the country. He further said Hyderabad has become a synonym for tennis, Biryani and Bahubali.<br/>The president will be paying floral tributes at the statue of Lord Budha, at the Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad before leaving tomorrow.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent says, the five-day long World Telugu Conference witnessed 16 thousand delegates from 42 countries participating in 100 conferences and 20 cultural programmes. Over 250 books were also released during this World Telugu Conference .<br/>
