President Ram Nath Kovind today hosted 'At Home' reception for freedom fighters on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He honoured and felicitated 93 freedom fighters from across the country. <br/><br/>Outgoing Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also greeted the freedom fighters. Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister for Communications Manoj Sinha, Ministers of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and Hansraj Ahir and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. <br/><br/>Each of the freedom fighters was gifted with an electric kettle with a personal message from the President. The President said, the nation is proud of the freedom fighters and salutes them. He wished them happiness, good health and a long life.<br/><br/>A set of 8 Commemorative Postage Stamps on 75 years of 1942 Freedom Struggle was also released on the occasion.
