President greets teachers on eve of Teachers' Day

President Ram Nath Kovind has greeted teachers on the eve of Teachers' Day. In his message, Mr. Kovind said, the nation has a warm tradition of the Guru Shishya parampara by which teachers impart their knowledge to students and empower them. <br/><br/>He said, it is peoples moral responsibility to pay respect and regard to teachers, as they are role models who guide children to become good and productive human beings. President said, teachers also develop the creativity of children and kindle a desire in them to be innovative.

President greets teachers on eve of Teachers&apos; Day

President Pranab Mukherjee has greeted teachers throughout the country on the eve of Teachers' Day.<br/><br/>In his message, the President said, Teachers' Day is a special occasion when the country honour the teachers who are practitioners of one of the noblest professions and whose dharma is to impart wisdom.<br/><br/>Mr Mukhejee said, teachers mould the destiny of students and impart wisdom and learning to the future generations.<br/><br/>He said, India's tradition of Guru Shishya parampara calls upon teachers to impart their deepest knowledge to students and inculcate in them a sense of discipline, dedication and commitment to the service of the motherland.<br/><br/>The President said, an inspired teacher is value-oriented, mission-driven, self-motivated and result-oriented and he links the individual goals of students to national goals and enables them achieve their full potential.<br/><br/>Mr Mukherjee said, teaching as a profession must receive respect and recognition from society and teachers must be made to feel that their contribution and devotion to students is appreciated.<br/><br/>He said, everyone must have an environment that fosters creativity and recognizes merit amongst teachers.
