President Pranab Mukherjee has said the government will roll out an electronic migration project to ensure hassle free migration of workers from the country to abroad.
Addressing the valedictory session of the 12th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention in New Delhi this evening, he said a Pravasi Bharatiya kendra will also be opened soon in the national capital.
He said this will commemorate and celebrate contribution of the Indian diaspora to the country by organising seminars and exhibitions. Mukherjee said enabling factors particularly education must be put in place to attain nine per cent annual growth.
He said there is a need to harness the potential of youth, comprising 25 per cent of the population, to create self-sustainable economic growth.
The President also conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman on the occasion.
