President Droupadi Murmu will reach Assam tomorrow on a 3-day visit. Ms Murmu will arrive at the Kaziranga national park tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow she will do a jeep safari and inaugurate an exhibition on elephant conservation in India. The next day, the President will inaugurate the Gaj Utsav 2023. This event is to be celebrated at Kaziranga for the successful completion of 30 years of Project Elephant. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Union Environment and Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav among others will also attend the event. On the same day, Ms. Murmu will attend the platinum jubilee celebration of the Gauhati high court in Guwahati and also flag off the Mount Kanchenjunga expedition. On Saturday, she will visit Tezpur and to conduct a sortie on Sukhoi 30 aircraft before wrapping up her visit.
