President Droupadi Murmu opens Rastrapathi Nilayam at Bollaram in Secunderabad for public

<span style="color: #222222;">President Droupadi Murmu today, March 22, opened the historic Rastrapathi Nilayam at Bollaram in Secunderabad for the public. The over 160 years-old heritage property has been opened for the general public on the occasion of Ugadi, the festival of the Telugu new year. </span><br />''<br />''Speaking after virtually opening the heritage building for common people, the President said as a symbol of Indian democracy, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Retreats are the heritage of all the countrymen. Stating that the historic building of Rashtrapati Nilayam is one of the Presidential Retreats built for the President, she expressed happiness to open it for the auspicious arrival of common people.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">She recalled that over 9 lakh people have visited the Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi since January 31. Stating that people are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, she said it is our endeavour that all the people, especially the young generation, know about the freedom fighters and respect the values associated with our freedom. She also recalled the efforts made by her predecessors to add many attractions to the Rashtrapati Nilayam like Nakshatra Garden, Medicinal garden, and many more. She also inaugurated the Knowledge Gallery at RP Nilayam along with a restored Kitchen tunnel and a step well at the premises. Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy were also present on the occasion. </span><br />
